Dr Helen Tanner joined Queensland Physician Care in 2019, which is located at the highly established and recognized private Wesley Hospital, located in Auchenflower, Brisbane.
She completed her medical degree at Otago University in New Zealand, graduating in 2005. She completed her physician training in Brisbane and obtained her FRACP in 2013. She also has a PhD from the University of Queensland.
Dr Tanner also works as a General Physician at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Her particular interests are peri-operative medicine and she currently consults at Brisbane Private Hospital.
Dr Tanner enjoys working at Queensland Physician Care, particularly the opportunity to work with other physicians who are also passionate about providing a high level of care to their patients.

Dr Tanner has won over $100,000 in research funding and has authored 17 peer reviewed publications and 1 book chapter. She has contributed to multiple national and international clinical guidelines and been a member on the executive councils of national and international medical societies.
