Dr Joanne Teh graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 and has worked in a variety of clinical and research roles in Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne.

Joanne is a dual-trained specialist who obtained her Fellowship in General Medicine and Infectious Diseases with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2022.

She joined Queensland Physician Care at the Wesley Hospital in January 2023.

Joanne’s clinical interests include perioperative medicine, general medical care, antimicrobial stewardship and the management of infections.

Dr Joanne Teh was awarded the Australian Society for Antimicrobials Identifying Resistance Travel Award and Best Poster Prize in 2020 for research on antimicrobial susceptibility testing for Staphylcoccus lugdunensis.
