Dr. Sarah Stevens is a highly accomplished Consultant General Physician with a distinguished career in general and acute medicine. With a passion for diagnostic challenges and multidisciplinary collaboration, Dr. Stevens has cultivated extensive expertise in perioperative and acute care medicine.
Dr. Stevens’ medical journey began with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPty) from the University of South Australia in 2005, where she earned the Dean’s Golden Key Award for Academic Excellence. She later pursued a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Queensland, graduating in 2015. In 2024, she attained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General and Acute Medicine.
With a strong foundation in both physiotherapy and medicine, Dr. Stevens has held key roles at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), Mater Hospital Brisbane (MHB), The Wesley Hospital, and QEII Hospital. Her training has spanned multiple subspecialties, including neurology, respiratory medicine, perioperative medicine, and acute care, making her a versatile and highly skilled physician. She is committed to a patient-focused approach to healthcare, believing that compassion and communication are the cornerstones of medical excellence.
Currently, Dr. Stevens practices as a Consultant General Physician at RBWH and The Wesley Hospital, where she provides expert care for general medical inpatients, with a particular focus on perioperative and complex medical patient management.
